[RESOLVED] VGN-FS415S works very slowly

Hello,

I have a VAIO VGN-FS415S and my problem is that it works very slowly since a few days. It's very long to run on, the sounds are saturated and it can't play DVDs well (films are jerky, sound saturates).

Could somebody help me ?

Have you done a virus scan?
You might want to check for spyware with AdAware and Spybot

I've done a virus scan and a anti-spyware scan, but all was right.
I've made a system restore, and it works normaly now...

I had this problem on a VGN-FS4. I noticed the following:

In the device manager, check the primary IDE controller. If it is set to PIO, change it to Ultra DMA if available, then click apply.

This solved the problem for me.
