RM-MCE20E Problems

Hi i've recently purchased a Sony Vaio all in one PC. Everything has been perfect accept this silly little remote!

If I use the remote to 'hibernate' or what ever it is doing to the computer, when I turn it on again I can no longer use the remote! The computer LED seems to recognise it but nothing happens.

I've checked drivers/windows update and all that and nothing new is available.

I imagine it is a problem with the infrared driver but I have no idea on where to start!

Any help to would be welcome to assist me with this problem, cheers.

Hi Gary,

I had the same problem with the same PC/remote control. I think i have a solution for your problem. Simply open your Media Center from the start menu, and than reconfigure it with the Media Center Setup Application. After resetting Media Center, close it, and try to start it again with the green button on your remote control.

After doing that, it works fine.
