I have recently installed the AVerMedia AVerTV Hybrid+FM Cardbus into my S5XP.
This is a TV tuner card, providing TV from both analogue & digital sources, as well as FM radio.
The analogue TV & FM radio work well, but the digital TV is unuseable: the audio/video is very choppy/jerky/stuttery, with many channels just not appearing at all.
I have the latest AVerMedia software & drivers installed. I have discussed this with support at AVerMedia & Sony & have tried all the usual things, such as uninstall/reinstall, clean-boot, etc. but no joy 😞
AVerMedia tell me that they have had similar problems reported with many Sony laptops, also Toshiba.
Can anyone help, please?
