SERIAL NUMBER!

I registered my vaio sz1xp/c with the serial number but every time I look for updates (the software solution doesn't work) I still need to write the serial again and look for it under the notebook!

Now I have my vaio in assistence for some problems (after only 1 week of use!) and I don't remember the serial number.

Who is the genius that studied this autentication mode with serial number every time?

Was not enough the model?

What Sony think someone can do with the drivers updates if he don't have a vaio PC?

You will find your serial number listed in both the BIOS (press F2 at boot to access this) and on the General tab of Sony Notebook Control (or Notebook Setup for some models). It is also on the underside of your computer.

nice - i kept turning off my laptop and checking the bottom,
until i wrote it on a piece of paper - thanks for the tip of dis-
playing the serial number in windows =]
