Since the firmwareupdate: "The ATRAC HDD cant be used with this version of SonicStage"

Hi,

I updated the firmware of my VGF-AP1 yesterday. The player works fine but when I open SS (tried with the 2.3 update and just to check with the 2.1) and everytime I try to enter the "Check In" screen I get the following message:

"The ATRAC HDD cant be used with this version of SonicStage"

I reinstalled SS and the USB Massstorage Driver - didnt help.

Well, what can I do now?

Hum - I DLed the SSinstaller from the european (german) connect page now, installed - still the same problem.

But maybe it matters - but I downloaded the firmware update from the US page first (if I remember right) and installed it cause I wasnt able to find it on the german page (the Sony homepages are a mess - so much and then you need a bit to find what you need...).

If there is a problem with european and US SS versions - maybe there is a similar problem with the firmware? Can I reinstall the same firmware version with out messing the player?
