Sony Saga

Hello people,

So following on from my update in my Club Vaio Expert i rang Vaio link last night after no updates after being promised twice to be called back and not being, i spoke to another gentleman yesterday afternoon, who informed mke that all parts I listed before had been replaced, the laptop had been moved to the end of line for testing, upon where it came up with a blue screen and hence failed it's test, so the guy told me he would investigate whats was going on and give me a call at about 11.30 this morning as I will be in a lecture in 5 minutes from 2pm to 5pm, yet per usual, no call, this is rather infuriating me, I am going to call back, what might have to be monday now, and if i can't get a reasonable answer on the progress or can be informed that my vaio will be returned by wednesday I will have to either ask for a manager or demand some kind of loan laptop from Sony while mine is being repaired, they are really trying my patience at the moment, especially with their lack at following through what they say they will do.

Also, according to the repair monitor

Woo, Yay, Hurrah, so I now expect it back tomorrow, plus a phone call from that Supervisor woman apologising for all the delays, but at least i should have it back very very soon, and there better not be a faulty pixel in sight!

Woo, Yay, Hurrah were all foolish excitisms. Yes i got my laptop back today, i switched it on, ok 1 dodghy pixel, i thought its ok not too bad, but yes they repl;aced the screen, and now if you knock the laptop or tap it (not whack just tap) basically anywhere you get a kind of ripple effect on the screen, its like 3 lines (horizontal), one set top middle of the screen, and lines (vertical) in the middle left and middle right of the screen. I will try and demonstrate via a very crude paint drawing

The Blue lines just represent the ripple distortion, I don't actually get big blue lines, so i'm going to have to phone up vaio link again and send of my laptop again, they can be sure that I wont be very understanding, i can't believe they sent me it back with this problem (although i know it's not the guys at the end of the phones fault. I will be again requesting (and being denied a loan laptop), it's a real inconveniance and I am quite pi55ed off.:smileyangry:

n.b. The supervisor from Vaio Link just phoned me to check i got my laptop back, and it's now due to be taken away again tomorrow.

Sniff, I waved away to my Vaio this morning, back down to Telford to some farm for repair. I wander what they can bugger up this time :slight_frown: I mean I didn't really want to use it at uni this year anyway, I only got it so I couldn't use it
