Can anyone tell me what the actual Sony model number is for this laptop as it does not exist if this is entered as the model.

I think you will find that the model is VPCEB1EOE or similar. Have a look on the bottom right hand side of the screen surround.

The answe you got does not work either.
Sony needs to get it's serial identification sorted so people aren't wasting time trying to find out what their laptops are actually know as and not whats printed on the tin!
