Sony Vaio PCG-7157P

Hi,

I am looking into the possibility of increaing the amount of RAM, installing an SSD and upgrading the OS to Windows 7 or WIndows 8 for my friends laptop which is a Sony Vaio PCG-7157P. I believe it may have been bought in New Zealand.

I have searched both the Sony website and Googled the wider internet and have come up with absolutely nothing.

I'm looking for detailed specs, service manuals and drivers for Vista/7/8. Can anyone give me any leads? Is this model also known under another model number?

Hi erzulie1,

This is possibly a VGN-NS25G or similar – have a look in Vaio Control Center > system information for the model name or alternatively in the BIOS, or you may find the correct model name on the screen surround. Once you have the correct reference you will find any available drivers and information on the Sony Asia Pacific support site.
