Today i receive from sony vaio support, about an hardware incompatibility with my new bx397xp and windwos vista, this answer:
"No support for windows vista, call Microsoft"

This notebook is "Windows vista premium ready" (now!!!!) but the driver where is??????? bios upgrade where is???????? support where is??????????

No words....

As I said to you before take this up with a trading standards body in Italy, it's wrong that the laptop should say "Vista Ready", when you know it's not.
