Sony Vaio VGN-NR21J: which one is the latest bios version?

Hi,

I'm trying to bring to life my old Sony Vaio VGN-NR21J after been stored for years in a drawer.

Could you please inform me which one is the latest bios version and where to find it?

Currently I have the Phoenix technologies LTD R1101J9 (23/10/2007).

Ineed this also because I would like to upgrade the CPU.

I think what you have on there is the latest as I don't see any updates for BIOS on the Sony website

The problem is I can't find any of the Bios available, neither the one I've got.

Could you please give me the link to see the list of the Bios available and of the drivers?

Sadly, Sony no longer support Windows 7 Vaios and most drivers have been removed from the download site.

You are probably stuck with the Bios you have.

Unfortunately I thought we are in a technological era we don't need hard drive backup for drivers...

I'm sure the driver are somewhere because they did exist, it's a shame Sony doesn't create a EOL section for drivers not supported. All the other competitors do it. In addition the bios is not relayed to an OS, it should be available because it's related to the motherboard
