Sound gnashing on VGN-FE11H if Cisco-VPN Client is working

Hello!

I have a VGN-FE11H notebook. We use the Virtual Private Network Software of Cisco Systems. If the VPN-Client active, the audio-output squeaks and sometimes, one or both sound-speakers keeping still. The source (video or music, streamed or local) and used software (WinAmp or RealPlayer for example) is irrelevant.
Have anybody an idea? Link to new SigmaTel HD Audio-Drivers? Alternative VPN-Client without the Cisco-VPN-engine?

bye,
stefan

Hi Stephan amd welcome to Club Vaio.

It seems you are not alone - have a look HERE - I think it is a known Cisco problem that also applies to Macs.

I had heard that there were problems with Skype and any other VoIP applications - but that these were supposed to be fixed by Cisco in Verson 5.

What version of Cisco VPN Client are you running?

Have you tried turning off Cisco in your Startup Group so it is not loaded by default and only on demand?
