Start Up Password for A217S

Hi,

I want to know if it is possible to set up power up password ?

I have a GR and SX Vaio they both can set password in notebook setup but the A series doesn't have that feature. Could it be hiring some where else.

You need to do this from the BIOS.

Restart the VAIO and when you see the VAIO logo press F2.
Use the arrow keys to goto Security and select Set Machine Password then press enter.
Enter the password (you will need to do this twice) then press enter.
Select Password When Power ON from Security, and use the space bar to change this from Disabled to Enabled.
Use the arrow keys to select Exit then make sure you save changes
