My Sony Vaio laptop pcg nv109 seems to be in a terminal state.
When I switch on, the power light illuminates but little else happens. If there is a CD in the CD drive, that will start up and then stop. Once the screen did come alive with the Sony logo and I was able to get the system recovery software as far as the end of the first disc but then the screen just froze and I had to switch off the machine. Is there anyhing I have missed or will this have to go toan engineer to be fixed?
