I have no idea what “a Belkin van assisted tray” is, but have you checked CPU temperature with a utility such as PC Wizard?

If you report back on temperatures prior to crash we will have a better idea of whether this is the cause of the problem.
Vacuuming or blowing the vents is not always a solution to overheating. Often a disassemble and thorough clean of the fan is required.
