I seem to have somehow broken the 'My Club Vaio' app which appears on the Vista start menu. It just loads up with a blank page, and nothing else happens - doing a system restore back to yesterday has had no effect.
I know I can find all the same stuff on the web, but it was handy to have it all there without having to look for it. Anyone know whether it is possible to reinstall it without recovering the whole original hard drive image.?
I must say I hate this system Sony have of providing a recovery partition - I like to tweak my own windows installations and install minimal junk and this makes it difficult. This is the first time I've bought a Sony, and I think it was a mistake - back to Dell next time, who supply full install CDs for everthing so I don't have this sort of hassle! Thanks.
Hi DavidinYork,
welcome to Club vaio..
Running the My Club VAIO patch, available from HERE , may solve the problem..
Hi
I had this problem with my new vgn-CR11/Z - installing the patch didn't cure the problem but if i "open (or run) as administrator the the app runs fine!
