Unable to restore TR1MP to factory settings

OK - I finally decided to bite the bullet and restore my TR1MP to its original settings. Why? you ask - well, I was bitten by the about:home hijacker a couple of weeks ago and since then have been unable to attach to my work via CheckPoint's SecuRemote VPN. It was working AOK pre about:home. When I uninstall SecuRemote and attempt to reinstall I receive a message stating "Error: 2GetFileSecurity" followed by a dialogue box headed Visual C++ RunTime: Run time error. Abnormal program termination. This to me like a permissions issue but I have been unable to resolve it. In a vain attempt, therefore, I inserted by recovery disk and rebooted - but, of course, forgot that my DVD/ROM drive (UJDA745) has long since refused to read DVDs !!! This is a nice little Catch-22 - any ideas guys as I'm going CRAZY !!!
