usb ports

Hi,
It's the idiot again and my vgc v3m. I have 4 usb ports on this, 2 underneath and 2 at the side. Could you please tell me which are the high speed, full speed and low speed ones. I've just bought one of the dvb tv tuners which won't work and I think it may be because it has to be plugged in to the high speed port and I don't know where it is!

I would think all your USB ports are USB2.

Two possibilities:

1. You need to use the software supplied with the DVB tuner - it will not work with Vaio-Zone.

2. The tuner may need more current than your USB ports can supply - see if you can borrow a powered USB Hub to try it out.

Yes, I'm using the software supplied and the aerial is good - I've just invested in a new house aerial. I'll ask around and see if I can borrow a powered usb hub whatever that is!! The only reason I asked about high speed, full speed and low speed ports was that in the literature supplied with my sony it said that I had these but it didn't tell me which was which. Thanks for your help anyway.
