Using wireless hifi

I've got a Vaio PCG-K315Z and am soon to be on holiday in a cottage that has complimentary wireless broadband. The sticker on my laptop states 'ATI mobility Radeon 9200 with 64MB and the latest WLAN technology 802.11 b/g built-in."

My simple question is, what do I have to do to access the wireless broadband?

Simple scan for known networks when you're there, click connect, enter a WEP key (or other security key) if asked, these are most commonly found on the bottom of the Wireless Router.

My 2nd Vaio is the PCG K215Z and it's been like a tank having everything thrown at it and still going strong. OK you want to connect to the LAN wireless. Refresh the wireless connections and your cottage wireless should magically appear. If you know the network key you are in. You do this by right clicking on the wireless icon in your task bar and usher up the 'View available wireless networks'.

Hi petestenny,

If you've not used your wireless LAN before then you may find page 48 of the K315Z user manual of interest..
