Utorrent changed the default programme

Hi, i use utorrent and was opening a file i downloaded and i must have hit the wrong tab and now utorrent has changed a lot of my files (chrome openoffice etc) and now the all try and open utorren. the also have the utorrent picture on all the files on the desktop (if ya know what i mean..how can i change the files back?? ps. i haven't backed up my vaio yet (only have it a wk)..please help

Hi Niall,

There is a strong possibility that whatever file you opened, after downloading from uTottent, contained malware.

I suggest that you first try cleaning with something similar to Dr Web CureIt.

Otherwise I suggest that you restore your system to ‘As Delivered’ by tapping F10 at boot when you see the Vaio Logo to access the Vaio Recovery Utility. You will of course lose all personal data unless you have a backup.
