vaio laptop

hi, i have a sony vaio laptop vgn-a297xp, this has a wireless mouse pcga-wms5.

i have just bought a new vaio vpcec2soe is it possible to get this mouse to work with this laptop

the 297 has a connect button on the bottom ,but the vpce has not any help please. regards john

Hi John404,


Your old A-Series had a wireless mouse receiver included inside the laptop.  I think it is the only Vaio laptop to have this feature.  To use the old WMS5 with your new Vaio would need an external sender unit to be plugged into the Vaio's USB Port.

As the new Vaio does not have a wireless mouse receiver built in, you will be better off getting a new wireless mouse complete with small USB Dongle.  Like this one: -
