Hi,
I have the Vaio listed above and when attempting to make the Recovery Media Kit I get the following error message:
"Cannot start the Recovery Media Kit Wizard because the recovery partition has been deleted"
Now I certainly have not deleted the partition having owned the computer since new.
Inspecting the 😧 drive shows 31.7gb available out of 39.6gb
Does anyone have any ideas what may have happened?
Thanks!
ps: Just had a look in Computer Management and Disk 0 has 6.99 GB NTFS (Healthy EISA Configuration). I'm not sure but maybe this holds the data to make the Recovery Media kit? Or at least confirms that the required partition is still there?
Hi seaviewuk,
Welcome to Club Vaio,
In Computer Management, you mentioned that Disk 0 has 6.99 GB NTFS (Healthy EISA Configuration) how much space is remaining in this partition..?
Do you have Norton GoBack installed on your Vaio?
Thanks for the welcome Thalagus
Blencogo: Yes I did! Shortly after posting this thread I found the answer was to uninstall GoBack and having successfully done that I was able to make the required disks
cheers guys
