VGC-RC102, Network Media Receiver and Wireless Network

I've studied the paperwork but I guess there are too many options to make it easy. Sorry if I'm being stupid but I thought I'd check here first before I waste time on false installations.

My PC (VGC-RC102) is connected via Ethernet cable to my BT2110 ADSL Modem/Router which provides the wireless network and Internet connection to three other computers in the house. I have two other Vaio Desktops (RZ322 & RZ324) connected via wireless adaptors. (and an old Toshiba portable)

The installation CD for the Network Media Receiver VGP-MR100U/E says connect to the ethernet connection of my BT2110 ADSL Modem/Router. Is this a just a quick start utility that configures the NRM VGP-MR100 to my wireless network?

Once configured can I just connect the NMR to my TV and then connect via wireless to my BT2110 and subsequently to my VGC-RC102 PC to view my media files? That is to say does the NMR have to connect to a wireless adaptor physically on the PC or can it goe via my BT2110 wireless router and subsequently via ethernet to the PC?

Can I upgrade S/W to allow the other two Vaios also to be servers and share their content on the TV?

Sorry for the rant. I've tried to supply as much relevant info as I can. All this is academic however if I cannot resolve the issue seen here.

Hi John,

It's not a stupid question, and can be very confusing.

Think of this NMR as another PC, and the sender as an access point. You connect the access point to your router, which will make it available to your network, and to your TV
