VGN-N31Z/W: Downgrading from Vista to XP?

Hello everyone!

First sorry for my English speaking!
I definitely need some help as a new user!
I don't like Windows Vista and wish to get Windows XP. :slight_frown:

Is it possible to do so?
I'm quite dumb with computers so I need a complete explanation. :anguished:

Thanks in advance!

Hi gk90,

welcome to Club Vaio..

Yes it is possible to do but beware Sony will only support Vista on your vaio therefore if have a problem with your Vaio and you need to contact vaio-link you will probably have to reinstall Vista, also you will loose all of the applications that came pre-installed on your Vaio..

If I where you I would try and stick with vista..

However if your sure that's the route you want to take you could try using the original drivers and Utilities for the N11S as the specs appear to be similar..

To install High Definition audio driver (Windows XP) you need to first install Microsoft's KB835221 hotfix and then install the Realtek High Definition Audio driver.. ( the hotfix should be included within the Audio folder of the original drivers)
