Volume button not working.

Hi
I have a SONY VAIO laptop PCG-GRT786M.
The volume button has stopped working.

I read a post on here about the vaio event service application could be the problem but i can't find that anywhere.

Any ideas ?

Hi iggy,

Your particular model does not have a separate Vaio Event Service application. Try re-installing the following utilities:

1 Sony Utilities,
2 Sony Shared Library.
3 Hotkey Utility.

Then re-boot.

You may find these folders in C:\Utils. If not download the pre-installed utilities, for your model, from

Vaio-Link.
