VPCL13 - All in One PC - Upgrading to Windows 10

I have a VPCL13 Series  VPC-L13M1E/S – All in one computer. Sony withdrew from the PC market and no longer supports this machine.

The OS is Windows 7 Home Premium and I would like to upgrade to windows 10. Sony has advised that they cannot guarantee that this would work.

Does any anyone on the community have experience in upgrading this model to Windows 10? Your feedback would be appreciated.

There are no updated drivers even for Windows 8 for your model, so be prepared to have to search for drivers. Your model can take additional RAM up to 12 GB which may help but the processor specs should be OK.

I have not done this myself - I see no reason at the moment to change from Windows 7 which I know works OK.. In order to retain your software, settings and and working drivers, I would UPGRADE and not make a clean install.

Read the available help on upgrades on the support page for your model here:-

Thank you for the information that there is an upgrade advisopr tool available. Sony dont seem to know about it. Is it a 3rd party fix?

hmm  tricky to find now it was pushed whilst the free upgrade was being offered bt MS

im guessing that you  have bought the win 10 media seeing as  the upgrade offer  has expired ?

you can  also always roll back to   your previous   version of Windows if for any reason you have problems with device drivers
