What do I need?? Help!

Hi All,

Just got my new Vaio AR21S, and I want to connect it to my Sky Box so that I can record things to my HDD or DVD.

What cables to I need for this.. I have various ports including:

S-Video Input
AV Optical Input

Is there a cable that will convert Scart to S-Video & Optival AV?

Many thanks

Charlie

This should do the trick, Scart to S + 2 RCA doesnt look like amazing quality but it will work, you will also need the RCA to 3.5mm jack adaptor on the bottom of the page if you use the analogue audio input, if your using the optical cable then its simply a optical connection from the Sky to Laptop, the line in doubles as optical usually.

I use a Pinacle Dazzle, it connects to your laptops USB port and connects to your sky box using a standard Video / AudioL / Audio R lead.

I use Microsft Movie Maker to capture the images from my TV or Sky+ box and then create a AVI file which can be burnt to DVD if required.
The quality is A1, I have recorded loads of Noddy episodes for my kids.

I hope this helps.
