Whenever I change to a wired connection it results in a crash...

Model -VPCEB2Z0E/BQ

This has been an ongoing problem and I'm yet to find any solution or anyone else with similar issues online. I've attempted several different options but nothing seems to work. As soon as I disable wireless and connect to wired it causes the laptop to freeze. Upon forcing a restart it freezes in the windows startup. When asked to use the startup repair it fails and/or freezes during. It's not often I swap to wired but lately I've found myself needing a faster connection and it is a real inconvience to have to spend time trying to fix this every time.

If anyone else has had a similar issue and perhaps I'm just overlooking something then I'd appriciate the help. If anyone has any thoughts but needs more information on the problem I'd be happy to go into further detail on my current settings and such.

Thank you.

I have the similar problem once. What I only did was I get back to wireless connection. Then I also upgraded my Internet connection to make it fast. That is a big plus.
