I have a Vaio F807k which came with Win 2K installed and has an internal Conexant modem. I recently upgraded to Win XP Pro and now my modem has stopped working. I believe that the existing modem driver is not compatible with XP.
I have been to the Conexant site:

and attempted to install their generic WinXP HSF AC '97 driver but this failed to work.
Any suggestions as to what to do?
