Hi Andrew,

How do you connect to the Internet?
If it is wirelessly, is it to your own wireless router or is it shared?
If so, what security do you have set on the wireless network (WEP, WPA)?
Where exactly did you see this other connection listed?
What model Vaio do you have?

Well its wireless but not shared internet. I sm using a wireless router. The other one that comes up is called HP computer. Everytime it happens this other one is there.

I dont know if its WEP or WPA.
Its the VGN AR11M

If you are not using any security, anyone in range of your wireless router can use your internet connection without you knowing about it!

Check your Router's instruction manual on how to enable wireless security to prevent freeloaders (or worse).

Are you sure your system isn't just detecting the available networks that are in your area?

Are you right clicking on the wireless icon on the task bar to "see" this other PC?
