Problems with car audio steering wheel controls

Hi there

I have a ford focus 56 plate and a CDX-GT350 radio/cd.

When I plug in the steering wheel control wire into the back of the radio I cannot change the volume at all on steering wheel OR radio . When I take it out the volume on the radio unit works again.

Any idea's??

Thanks

Hi tweacle,

Not sure what you have, but usually you need two third party adapter leads to make this work: a universal lead for Sony (in this case) and then a specific lead for your make and model of car.  I have used these guys previously (Connects2) who I've found to be very good:

Not sure if they have compatibility for your car, so might be worth giving them a call to find out if the leads are available and which leads you need.

Hope this works out for you!
