Mouse on Xperia Tablet Z

Has anyone got the mouse to work?  I can pair a Bluetooth mouse fine, but no pointer appears.  Seen a bunch of posts relating to other tablets, seems to be hit or miss.

I used another mouse with the otg cable and a wireless dongle that worked.
