@bearger

Hi there

I have just tested the Picasa application on my TV and all now appears to work.  Can you please test it as well and confirm?

Thank you

Hi there

Just tested this on my TV (KDL-42W807A) and I also cannot log in using my gmail email address and password - yet works on my laptop (both the web browser and the application itself)

Can anyone else verify if they can actually log in?

Cheers

EDIT:  Just checked my Google account - and its come up with the following at the very same time I was attempting to log in:

My Picasa login is still working, but isn't linked to a google+ account though.

Btw I like the Sony cloud service Playmemories better, since pictures are processed and scaled better according to you viewing device it seems.

@Nielsen - If you wouldnt mind - What model TV do you have? Is it a 2013 model?

Thanks

Excellent - Thanks Nielsen.  Just the confirmation that I needed.

From my understanding on how it works, different models TV's (or locations possibly) go via different Sony servers.  Therefore your TV is going via a different server than mine or bearger's TV.  It seems Google is blocking access (as Picasa is Google) to the Sony Server.

@bearger

Just to inform you, I have escalated your issue to Sony Support for investigation.

Cheers

Thank you. Bit annoying buying a new tv and it fails to do as advertised.
