Sony Vayo PC unexpected CRASH when connected to Sony BRAVIA KDL-24ex320

Hi,

I have a Sony Vayo laptop with Radeon HD 3400 Series. Ever since i started connecting the SONY Bravia KDL-24EX320 to the laptop on the HDMI port ( as extended Desktop) my laptop crashes at least one or two times a day.

On the laptop there is a HDMI Resolution Setup interface and i selected the smallest option 720( there are also 768, 1080 possible) but still with this setting the crashes occur.

Have you encoutered such a problem?

I i find a solution in the mean time i will let you know.

Hi,

I found the solution for the behavior.

- I changed in Display Settings the option for Colors from Highest(32 bit) to Medium( 16 bit).

Now i don't have any crashes anymore.

Thanks for your reply! It was only fair to post the fix, maybe someone has the same problem as i had( small chances but who knows...).

However is clear that this kind of LCD required a better Display adapter in order to use it at its potential.
