What you are doing is the command to reboot the TV, so no fault on your set.... There is no way to turn off completely the TV other than unplugging from power if this is what you are looking for. Pressing the power off button once will put the TV on standby

hi,

firstly fantastic TV, terrible light bleed i might add.

my question is in order to turn off the TV you have to hold the power button on the remote for 5 seconds . on my particluar set the TV constantly reboots and wont turn off as it should.

is this a fault or is there something im doing wrong ?

thanks for the reply.

On a forum i seen someone say thats how to actually turn it off. clearly wrong.

Only reason i don't like the standby option is i have USB ambient light plugged in behind the tv so it remains on while the tv is in standby mode. not a major issue but atleast i know now its not a fault .

thanks.
