Bravia - hdmi input displayed twice

I've just got a new 4k set up Bravia xe8005 TV, UBP-X800B Blueray and MT 500 soundbar. All are connected via hdmi a Virgin v6 box is the source on hdmi 1, the soundbar is on 3 (ARC) and the 4k Blueray on hdmi 2.

On the input source selection drop down hdmi 2 shows twice once as the model number the other just hdmi 2. I've tried hiding hdmi2 but it hides both, I've hidden all the other unused inputs successfully. Why is this input duplicated, I was wondering if it's because the model being a Sony is recognised but then so to is the soundbar which only appears once.

Any help appreciated.

I've sorted this for anyone else with the same issues it's down to the sync facility usability Sony equipment.

I've got the same problem with my Sony KD-49XG9005 (inputs all appear twice).

I sort of figured it was the Bravia Sync that was causing it.

But how did you stop it???
