topic bluetooth pairing in Android TV

bluetooth pairing

My new bluetooth headphones are on CSR 4.0 which wont pair with my KD-43XE8396

is there a way round this like a bluetooth dongle to make this work?

A2DP is only supported as off XE85. Your TV does not support audio over Bluetooth which is a software limitation. Sony realized that there is quite a demand for Bluetooth headsets and restricted its usage to more expensive models. I don't agree with that. Bluetooth audio has been in the cheapest and smallest multimedia devices for years already. Sony wants some extra money for that.

Your only chance is to connect a Bluetooth audio transmitter via the analog line out of your TV.
