&lt;P&gt;It's not impossible to use your TV as the centre of a 5.1 system, but it's quite complicated and really won't sound very good at all.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;If for some reason you don't want to use a soundbar, you could set up a 4.1 system with a pair of speakers front and rear.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;Would that work for you?&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Could anyone recomend a surround sound system to get for the AF9? I want to use the TV as the centre channel so i just need to know which components i should purchase.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
