Hi, yeah firmware is up to date, I sorted the original issues by going through an auto start up as suggested on a forum but now when a program goes to an advert or come back from advert the info bar comes on again for 10 seconds or so! Very annoying again

It is now existed for two years. It normally appears every time the audio format changes or switches. The work-a-round is to turn off the info bar completely. Home -> Settings-> Channel setup -> Info banner -> Off.

Sorry to tell you but this is not an Android TV. In fact the software is Linux https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs/kd-49xf7073/specifications

Unfortunately I believe there is no work-a-round for Other TVs without degrading your audio experience. Setting the source audio to PCM or Normal would mean no audio format switching and therefore no Info banner appearing on each change.
