On recordings and when switching channel info bar with hdmi source will not go, there is no option to turn off info bar, would really appreciate some help! Very annoying!

Hi, yeah firmware is up to date, I sorted the original issues by going through an auto start up as suggested on a forum but now when a program goes to an advert or come back from advert the info bar comes on again for 10 seconds or so! Very annoying again

Hi @Edhall13

This is a well known fault which Sony appear to not have any clue how to fix it. It is now existed for two years. It normally appears every time the audio format changes or switches. The work-a-round is to turn off the info bar completely. Home -> Settings-> Channel setup -> Info banner -> Off.

Hi @Edhall13 I am curious, you do have an Android TV don't you? I would be interested to see what you have in your Channel setup menu.

I haven't seen a setup display like yours. It may be because I have a KD-55XE9305. What version of Android do you have and if possible can you display the TV About screen.

Hi @Edhall13

It looks like you have a KD-49XF7073 which explains why your screens don’t look familiar. Sorry to tell you but this is not an Android TV. In fact the software is Linux https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs/kd-49xf7073/specifications

Unfortunately I believe there is no work-a-round for Other TVs without degrading your audio experience. Setting the source audio to PCM or Normal would mean no audio format switching and therefore no Info banner appearing on each change.
