Just have the serial number and original receipt at hand. Most people get a 5 year warranty when buying a Sony TV. If you have to buy one then a non-Sony substitute costs £10 or a genuine Sony for £40 from a well known on-line retailer. You can always send it back for a refund if it is not suitable. The batteries should last at least a year.

Forcibly turn on the power saving mode from the settings menu - battery. It is necessary to reduce the display's brightness, reduce the auto-lock time and disable functions such as background update and auto-upload. Disable background software updates from the Settings - General - Content Update menu. This measure will come in handy when you forget to turn on the power saving mode or do not want to turn it on. Disable Siri listening via the Settings menu - Siri. Many people use the TV as a backlight, and perhaps because of this, the steering wheel also discharges quickly. This is not worth doing because you can use an explosion-proof LED flood light and save batteries on the remote.
