topic TV Guide missing in Android TV

TV Guide missing

I have a Sony Bravia KD 43XF 7596 and I have no TV guide (epg?) It just says ‘information not available’ I have tried a re-tune, turning on and off. It’s hopeless!

Sounds frustrating - I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.

Maybe try the below:

Firstly if you are using the “You View” epg then ensure your tv is connected to the internet as It will display “no information available” if not.

If it’s connected then try the below:

Press Home on your remote
Scroll down to 'Settings'
In the TV section scroll right to 'Apps'
Go to 'System Apps'
Hold the right button and scroll to end to 'YVServiceHostAPK'
Select 'Clear Cache' and press 'OK'
Then select 'Clear Data' and press 'OK'

It worked for mine, hope it helps

Mine is same, connected via wi-fi. bbc1, 2, itv, ch4, 5, itv2 the worst. Never displays epg.

Clearing cache didn't work.

On Sony’s equivalent to freesat that is what you get. Found it an inferior service

They are not talking about satellite.
