Reassign channel buttons on Sony RF remote x950g (RMF-TX600U remote)

This is the RF remote with the new Sony Bravia tvs. I don't use the Channel up/down buttons and would like to reassign them to the control the volume of my receiver. Does anyone know a way to reprogram those to be my receiver's volume?
