Did Support inform you that you need a new motherboard?

You could try getting in touch with EET Europarts who are Sony's official parts retailer.

sony eventually reimbursed me after enough fuss

Maybe they paid you because your tv is still under warranty bbu mine is out of warranty I bought it in 2016.
