Yes it's up to date with a fresh 9.0 install... with no additional updates available.

I should add that today I've isolated the problem to be USB related. I've played 1080p and 4K content from local storage and it's smooth as before. But from USB, Kodi does not like it. Streaming from Netflix, Prime apps etc unaffected.

The plot thickens... 😞

Menus stutter on selecting, or using the buttons to go up and down. Kodi versions 18.5 and 17.6 tested.

1080p or 4k content via USB also stutters badly. Previously playback was flawless. Plays fine in VLC however.

No factory reset at this point, as everything else seems ok.

Anyone else able to test this, replicate? Thanks. Please post results.

Hi domyates,

That's very strange. Have you made sure that the software of the TV is up to date?

Cheers,
The_Black_Rose

Hi domyates,

Did you try clearing the cache by pressing Home - Settings - Storage and reset - Internal storage - Clear cached data? This usually resolves a lot of problems.

Cheers,
The_Black_Rose

In the end, the only thing that worked was a full Android TV factory reset - then reinstall Kodi.

I tested 4K UHD content and 1080p USB content and it was smooth and ran perfectly as before.

Happy to close this thread now.
