Considering the TV model from the subject, what country and language shall I select in order to activate the settings options would allow me to sort the stored channels?

I think Sony intend that you export them, edit them, and then reimport them, rather than being able to do it directly on the TV.

Thank you for your fast input, I really appreciate it!

I looked quickly on the the steps and it sounds like it should work. I didn't know that the channel list can be exported into an *.xml file.

I will make the process of exporting-sorting-import and I hope I can come back with good news.

Hi there,

It worked with the export-import and modified by the Sony dedicated tool.

It would have been easier and desired to use the TV's menu. For the money we spend on a such model, we shall benefit of this kind of features.
