So it seems I had outdated information. In this case it is not really important what the label says, it should support it just check you use an high speed cable to support it (it should have the ethernet on HDMI feature in order to support eARC)

Dolby Atmos

I’ve just purchased the Sonos Arc and to enable Dolby Atmos , Sonos say that it must be connected to my Sony AF9 via the tv’s eARC hdmi socket.

However the rear of the AF9 only has an ARC socket, not eARC.

The tv specifications state that the AF9 is Dolby Atmos capable via eARC.

Can anyone please help explain?

AFAIK af9 doesn't support earc but you should not need it for lossy Dolby Atmos used by streaming services. If you want the TV passthrough uhd bd true Atmos or any lossless audio you cannot.

The specifications show that the AF9 is eARC capable, but without an eARC port how do I proceed?
