is anyone able to tell me why this line keeps appearing at the top of my tv screen and what I need to do to get rid of it please? Thanks

Hello @Paulasmithyy,

that is the so called "info-bar" which should only appear once as a new input is detected or switched on. If it keeps appearing, there might be something going on which triggers it via CEC.

You can turn it off, yet unless you mention which TV model you use, no one will be able to assist you and tell you the right menu option.

The tv is a sony KD-55XE9305 and the solution was:

home button - settings - watching tv - info banner toggle to off
