KD-65AG8 Random Android rebooting

Can anyone help please. My TV randomly switches off and the Android screen appears. This is really frustrating as it can happen in the middle of watching any programme.

Make sure you have the latest updates.

Factory Reset it.

Checked latest software was up to date. Did a reset. Still reboots during programmes. Wish I could get my money back, Sony are a waste of time and no help.

Hey @ Fazzie13,

Have you made sure that your current software version is v6.7165? Sometimes the TV isn't recognizing the latest version.

This is going to sound stupid but check your plug/socket. It's maybe lose wiring that's making it cut out very quickly. Oh and put some new batteries in the remote. Lastly check your Apps, I had a Smart Security Camera App that absolutely destroyed my TV, had it switching on and off, changing channels. As soon as I removed it the TV worked properly again. It was called Tuya.

Nothing is stupid at the moment. I don't have any Apps on the Tv now Checked the plug and new batteries in the remote. Thanks for the reply.

Sony have been no help, they just say our engineers are working on the problem?
