Customise Home Screen Channels

At the bottom of the home screen you can tap "Choose Channels" to customise your home screen. A list of apps is shown, and you can tick them on or off. How can you add and app to this list?

I had the app 'SVT Play' in this list and shown on the home screen. Unintentionally I uninstalled the app, and after reinstalling it does not appear on this list. How add it back?

Tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it with older versions hoping that it would show up in the choice list. No luck though.

@HannahEd01 Thanks! Have I missed something as simple as a Plus sign? No - at least I cannot find one!

Have not been on the Android Home screen for a few weeks, and when I was this morning - guess what? There was the app (SVT Play) I was missing before! How did that happen??

So though I am happy that my little problem has been solved, I am still curious about the general question: how are apps added to the customise channels?

@khallergard, have you tried to disable the YouView and try to customise channels again? Had it make any difference? I once read that this option isn't available when YouView is enabled.

Hi @Anonymous Thanks, I do not have a problem anymore as I have mentioned above. Having deleted the app by mistake and then reinstalled it, the SVTplay app miraculously came back after a couple of weeks to the Customize Channels (E). Still wonder in general how apps are chosen to be candidates for the Customize Channels. Some code for streaming channels in the apk?

Glad to hear it's resolved now!

I believe it's related to how often you use the app, and your own interest.
Same goes for ads I guess.
