I’m looking to purchase a new tv possibly the Sony KD43X85JU and in the description it says it has Dolby Atmos, Dolby Audio and DTS Digital Sound. Does this mean that the tv will deliver Dolby Atmos without the need for a sound bar? Thanks.

Hey there,

The TV supports Dolby Atmos yes, but if you don't have a Dolby Atmos sound system connected don't expect it get you a real surround experience through the TV speaker.

It will try to get a virtual surround experience, but will not be exactly like the real thing.

Hope that helps
