My 60” Bravia has started looking like this when turn it on, once there’s a channel on it goes away but very rarely you can see a dull blob. I’ve been told it’s the t-con board. Can anyone confirm if this is correct before I take it to be repaired and get charged hundreds

Hi,

I had similar on a different brand TV a couple of years ago, the service guys said it was the panel. At that point, I was very happy that I had paid the small fee for extended warranty/ insurance.

@Des1979, what's the model number of your TV? You can find it on the sticker on the back, on the right hand side.
